(89) Light gold-hued with a kiss of amber, the 2024 Vin De France Au Petit Bonheur Rose was brought up entirely in wood, which always gives this rosé a unique style. Orange blossoms, spice, dried herbs, and salty mineral nuances all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium-bodied, with a nicely textured, layered mouthfeel and a great finish. It can stand on its own as well as shine on a dinner table. Drink 2026-2027.
(91) The 2024 Vin de France Rosé au petit bonheur has a really distinctive flavor profile of bitter cherry, ripe white beach and toasted almond married to deep, stony mineral inflections. Broad and dense through the mid-palate yet deceptively light in body, it maintains energy without excess weight, running through to a long, clean finish with a nip of spice right on the close. Balanced and unique.
(91) This unusually pale rosé has plenty of almond, melon and nectarine character on the medium- to full-bodied palate. It has soft acidity but a nice freshness, accentuated by a touch of tannins. A still blanc de noirs of grenache and cinsault with a small amount of clairette, all from Gigondas. Drink now
