(89-91) The entry-level cuvée coming from tiny yields due to shatter and mildew, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Télégramme is based on 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 6% Mourvèdre, and 4% Cinsault, aged 15-16 months in 30- to 60-hectoliter French oak foudres. It offers attractive notes of raspberry and darker berries, pepper, sappy herbs, and darker mineral nuances. Medium-bodied, with a supple, elegant mouthfeel, fine tannins, and a good finish, it should shine right out of the gate.

(89-91) Mixing 85% Grenache with the remainder split between Syrah and Mourvèdre from fully destemmed grapes, the 2024 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Télégramme unwinds with fragrant orange blossom and strawberry jam aromas. Medium- to full-bodied and perfumed, the open-knit 2024 checks out with medium length. Let’s see whether it can pick up a little more substance during the remainder of its élevage.
