With warm earth on the seductively textured palate, this shows good energy and harmony through the vibrant finish, marked by iron and smoked meat. Well-done. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. (93) A seductive version, with full ripeness yet balanced restraint to the round, warm notes of red licorice and cherry, flecked with lavender and vanilla bean. A stream of graphite matches the ripeness, making for a perfumed, incense-driven, tangy finish, with dried herbs, turmeric and earth. Lovely. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Deep red. Vibrant red berry, lavender and mineralaromas, with a subtle garrigue quality building in the glass. Bright, racy and pure, offering freshraspberry and bitter cherry flavors that put on weight with air. Sweeter and fuller on the finish,which features soft tannins and a late kick of white pepper. Distinctly elegant Chateauneuf with noexcess weight; in fact, there\’s something pinot-like going on here. 91-93
